I would like to start a thread for everyone who is going to apply for VEEB LPN program for AUG 2012. This is so Long overdue for me. I let two years go without applying and Im not going to let anything Hold me back now. I am currently in a CUNY school, trying to get into there RN program. However, I have to make sure that I have options because CUNY'S nursing programs are very competitive. I did not apply to VEEB this year because the school is in long island and I live in brooklyn and do not own a car of my own. I will not let that keep me from applying for next year program. I will make sacrifices and do whatever is possible to get into this school. I would for everyone applying to share there experience , and questions, etc. Good Luck Everyone!

Hello mymy I plan to apply for the 2012 veeb lpn program also, was going to start cuny but it is too competitive and I want to be sure of what I am doing, would you happen to know when we apply?

thats great i hope we both get in, cuny is very competitive and i really really would just love to be accepted to veeb next year so im going to take everything serious and have my fingers crossed!

Well I'm fresh out of hs so I doubt the entrance exam will be hard for me, I can't deal with cuny. Too time consuming they can give you class whenever they feel, it's just too much. It's cheap but not as recognized! Do you know about when we should apply or call? And I was actually looking into boces as well but they are way too far!!

Well FEb everyone can start applying and I believe the exam cost a total of $200.00

Does anyone know what to expect from the entrance exam? its beena while since I have been out of HS and definitely could use a refresher?

Hi mymy1219

I think my story is somewhat similar to yours, except I am currently in LIU. Last year I applied for the LICH program, and was devistated when they froze admission, right after I had my interview. But Im over that now, and I am pursuing VEEB for the 2012 semester.

Its far for me as well. I live in Rockaway, and I dont drive, but like you, Im just ready to make it happen!!

They say basic math and reading/vocabulary.

Hello everyone, i plan to apply to VEEB this year as well... I know ppl who have went there and they are doing great... from what i hear... the entrance exam is basic math and reading.... they only except a certain number of applicants each year so it is competitive as well... just make sure you pass the exam....if you do, you have to put down a $2,000 down payment...the seat will be offered on a first come first serve basis.... so have that money ready! They also advise that you do not work full time seen as tho this is a very intense program... i have friends who have worked full time and took care of their family and they have preservered through it.... "nothing is IMPOSSIBLE, the word itself says 'I'm possible' "...A Hepburn.... Dedication and time management is all you need for eleven months and at the end of it, WE will be nurses!!! so good luck to all those applying hope to see you all there....

I called VEEB today to find out when they are going to start giving out the test dates. I was told to call back towards the end of the month, they are behind and should have more answers by then! I sure hope so, I'm so anxious!
