Who is applying to VEEB for 2012

I would like to start a thread for everyone who is going to apply for VEEB LPN program for AUG 2012. This is so Long overdue for me. I let two years go without applying and Im not going to let anything Hold me back now. I am currently in a CUNY school, trying to get into there RN program. However, I have to make sure that I have options because CUNY'S nursing programs are very competitive. I did not apply to VEEB this year because the school is in long island and I live in brooklyn and do not own a car of my own. I will not let that keep me from applying for next year program. I will make sacrifices and do whatever is possible to get into this school. I would for everyone applying to share there experience , and questions, etc. Good Luck Everyone!

I was laid off and have always thought of becoming a nurse. Now that I have been home for a year I am trying to make this happen so I cross my fingers that this will work out. I've been calling VEEB as well and keep getting the call back so I am going to call again today. Good luck to all!

I called VEEB and they are going to start giving out testing dates on Mar 12. Best of luck to all..

Thanks for the info 2bagr8tnurse. I am nervous and happy that they are starting the testing...It's been a while since I've been in high school so I will have to study ALOT. lol...

No problem! I'm going to start studying now. I think the process will go quickly because they are starting so late.....so I want to be well prepared!

Yes! I got the same info, very excited! Wonder what the entrance exam will be like.. Would anyone happen to know?

From what I've been reading , and when I called the scool and asked, they said basic math, reading and vocabulary. There is NO science on the test which is a plus! The person from VEEB said to study from a GED book.

I'm just curious to know exactly what the entrance test is like, I definitely breezed my way through math and science in high school paying very little attention and doing bare minimum to pass...I of course regret this now, when I called they told me to just study from a GED book but I'm wondering would that be enough! Also curious to know if even is an accredited school, any information or advice would be super appreciated
