Who is applying for Linfield this go around?

I also applied to Linfield, and I have to say I am a nervous wreck these days! Has anyone heard anything yet or know the actual date letters are going out? The website says April 1st (subject to change) and ---- from Linfield said sometime during the first week of the month. Crossing my fingers for myself and all of you! Good luck! :)

Did anyone get in for this upcoming summer or fall term for 2011? I got my WAITLIST reply the other day... NOOOOO!!! Since it is the only school I applied to I'm really hoping to get in. If anyone has any info about the the wait list rankings please let me know.

There are 60 alternates but no one knows what number they are on that list. (I got on the booty list too) :(

Haha, booty call list! Pretty much, huh? I'm wait listed for Linfield, too. I was initially pretty bummed ( read: devastated) to get 2 wait list letters (u of P and Linfield), but after I called U of P, and they told me they had something like 700 ( may be wrong, memory fading) applicants for 60 transfer seats, I was pretty stoked to be #21. Not that I think I'll get in off the list, but still. It gave me a perspective that I'm not a total failure or something...

Same with Linfield - they received a ton of applications, and I'm glad I made the list. 60 isn't too many, considering they enroll for 3 terms! Congrats to you guys, ScienceNerd and GinnyM, for making the short list.. Hopefully, we'll all receive calls soon.. Keep us posted!

Hello everyone!

I'm curious as to what your GPA's and other experience was for those who either got in, or are waitlisted...I plan on applying next year, and wanted to know what they typically look for in an applicant! Thanks for all those willing to share!

I got waitlisted too... initially I was devastated but the more that I think about it, it's not such a bad place to be. I heard that they have 30 people on summer wait list and 30 people on fall, and they roll over any people left on it to spring.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us :)

Me too. Decided to go with UP--I got a Providence Scholar spot. I hope you all get in this summer! I kind of wish I could go everywhere because everyone has good things to say about each school. :nurse:

Got into Linfield spring start and still waiting to hear back from OHSU-Monmouth. My GPA for Linfield was a 3.73 and my essays were pretty solid because I spent about a month working on them. I have friends who got in with lower GPAs too.

Keep me updated if anybody hears back from the waitlist!!! Crossing my fingers!

Just letting the people on the wait list (for Linfield summer start) know that i got a call from Mindy on Tuesday and it looks like I'm starting the accelerated program this summer! :yeah: So they are making moves to get people in so you should get your call soon! hang in there!!!
