White scrubs?

Nursing Students CNA/MA

So I'm having to purchase all white scrubs for clinicals, for my Cna class and I have no idea where to go. There's this place in the local mall that sells but I don't want to try there if it's too expensive. I don't want to go the online route. So, where's a cheap place to get scrubs for cheap? I am on the petite side. Also, when you did clinicals did you have to wear all white? Which brand of shoes did you purchase with good support?

I personally wouldn't spend much money on scrubs for your clinicals. I would seriously buy one set...maybe 2 at the MOST and just keep washing them for your CNA training.

The facility where you will eventually find work may have their own set of required colors or they may even provide you with scrubs.

Walmart is pretty good. Also check to see if there are local medical supply or uniform companies. Sometimes it's worth it to spend a little more money and support local business. Also it's hard to know with Walmart if they have your size and a style you like.

Actually, an all-white uniform is much easier to maintain in the long run than colored scrubs. It's much easier to deal with stains. Peroxide (or OxyClean) is your friend.. very effective for most biological stains, including blood.

Just be sure you consider the underwear issue. Choose a color that closely matches your skin tone to avoid 'show-through'. Save those polka-dot briefs for another time!
