Which is harder: A&P 1 or A&P 2?

I am finished A&P 1 - that was a lot on itself. Is A&P 2 harder?

To me, A&P 2 was harder than A&P 1. But, it was probably due to taking micro with it though.

I really do admire people who can do two bio classes at once. I couldn't unelss it was my last two classes left!

From my personal experience, A&P II was easier, as a result of knowing what to expect. But then again, I had the same professor for both classes.

Unfortunately I won't be having the same professor since she only teaches A&P 1. However, I took a professor with really good ratings and I talked to a lot of people and apparently she is really good. So I'm hoping this works out.

In my opinion, a&p 1 was harder because it was brand new material and I've never had a class that was both lecture and lab. A&p 2 just builds on itself, once u figured out your study skills with a&p 1 it gets easier to handle.

I haven't taken a&p2 yet, but I'm going to say a&p1 is harder because if you don't understand the nitty gritty in the first few chapters, it all builds on each other, so if you don't understand that then you're going to have a hard time. Blood, and repro are my specialties, I'm taking a&p2 this summer in 8 weeks along with lifespan development. Should be a breeze.

I got a 96% overall in a&p1

Yeah, A&P 1 was by far a lot harder than A&P 2 at my college. It may have just been the instructor though. She was a great instructor, very knowledgeable and helpful, but she stressed constantly that she was trying to teach us all how to study for the harder courses that we would be seeing, particularly in nursing, so her quizzes and tests were very extensive, I think that only 5 or 6 of us made it out of that class with an A, while the majority of the class made an A in A&P 2.

My school had A&P 1 and 2. One really wasn't harder than the other. I'm not sure if my school broke up the classes the way they did to keep an even balance of the 'harder' body systems.

Now certain body systems were harder than others to me. Some found the cardiac difficult and renal easy while others found it easy and found renal hard and vise versa.

I guess the first could be considered the harder of the two based on its the first one..you don't know what to expect etc.

I thought they were both about the same. I had taken A&P I back in 99, then took II last fall. I was alot of memorizing bones a muscles and the basics of cells. I took II last fall with micro. I absolutely loved micro and let my II grade fall a little bit. But I needed that A in II so at the end of the semester I focused on that more and my micro grade slipped to a B. DNA transcription and transduction did me in. I had a hard time understanding it. I took Advanced Physiology this past spring and it seemed like everything just clicked together and I ended up with a 96% in that though it was supposed to be the hardest of the three. I think a great instructor helps though and I had a great one.

Good day, giraffe4:

I found AP2 lecture to be the same difficulty level, and lab to be more difficult in that the histology portion of the lab went from knowing a handful of items to often a score or more per lab practical. It was still possible to do very well in the class even so.

Thank you.

I took AP1 and AP2 in one semester, with 8 weeks being given to each. It was very difficult, but I managed As in both classes. For me AP2 was harder because of the systems taught in the classes. I do think that a lot has to do with the teacher, and with your ability and willingness to learn and study on your own.
