Specializes in Renal/Telemetry; Critical Care.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me information on the following FNP programs. I am having a very hard time finding a program that I would to attend; Any information would be helpful. Thanks!!

Xavier University (in Ohio)

University of Cincinnati

Chamberlain University

Ball State University

Walden University

Ball State or Xavier

Specializes in Dialysis.
Specializes in Outpatient Psychiatry.

#1 the school your state board will recognize an education from

#2 the most, overall, cost efficient

#3 the one that won't make you find your own clinical sites (which is completely idiotic - I had to do that from a STATE medical university)

Specializes in allergy and asthma, urgent care.

Unfortunately I think all of the schools she listed require the student to find their own....

Specializes in Assistant Professor, Nephrology, Internal Medicine.

I actually enjoy my AGNP program at u of Cincinnati. Professors are readily available for questions, lectures are thought provoking and high quality. I also have had loads of help with registration, trouble shooting, etc.

I haven't researched a school that makes the clinical assignment for me yet. I received my BSN through so I'm not sure if I am considered a competitive student since I'm considered a 3.0 GPA. If anyone has any recommendations for FNP schools I would love to hear them. I live in Ohio.

Just FYI, a GPA >3.5 is considered competitive at u of Cincinnati
