Which classes should I take, and will I make it?

Much will depend on the school you intend to transfer into. Some schools are highly competitive and will only accept the highest-performing candidates, and C's will not cut it. Others have a bit more wiggle room, and might consider those grades acceptable. You will need to speak with a nursing program advisor for the school you are hoping to attend, in order to see what THEIR requirements are.

As for "harder" or "easier" subjects, that requires a bit of speculation but overall I think most students would agree that Microbiology is noticeably more difficult than a 'general' course like nutrition. The 'harder' the science, the more difficult in terms of concepts and knowledge base.

Bottom line is it doesn't really matter what anyone HERE thinks: you need to find out the specific requirements for the program you want to attend, and see what they're willing to take.

I took Micro, Stats, Nutrition, and a medical terminology class semester and did very well in all of them. I did very well in my previous science classes, however. I found Nutrition to be significantly easier than Micro, although Micro was my favorite class just based on how incredibly interesting it was.

"difficult" is a subjective term and cannot be answered. What you consider "difficult" may be totally different than what I consider difficult. How do you define the term? By the amount of study time? You are "sad" about the grades you earned. What does that mean? You did not do what the professor required to earn an A. What is there to be sad about? I do not understand. In nursing and life in general there is no time or energy to feel sorry for oneself. You need to get up and move forward. What difference does it make if a class is "difficult"? You must do it and earn a A or B to become a nurse. End of story. Find a way to succeed. Work harder. Study more.

As far as which class is more difficult that will be different from each individual. For instance I passed micro with flying colors but had a really hard time with chem. Another person may understand chem better and have a difficult time passing micro, its all relative to the individual. You may find that you can excel in both classes with no problem.

Why does your school split a&p in 3 parts? That may pose to be difficult when it comes to evaluating your transcripts for that course as most institutions split it in two parts. As far as the C's in a&p some schools will require you to have at least a 3.0 science gpa so if you did really well in your other science courses you may be ok. Other schools get specific on which grades they want for certain courses. I would research the admission requirements of the schools you plan on transferring to and make sure you meet the minimum requirements. Remember also the entrance exams if required (HESI OR TEAS V) play a key role in being admitted in programs also. So if you didn't do well in a&p and did really well in your other science courses and pass the entrance exams with really high schools that may help your chances in being admitted. I would encourage you to do your research, find out minimum requirements to apply and go from there.

That really depends on the school and their program not all schools are the same. Look at what prereqs are calculated into the prereq GPA and you can see if you meet the requirements to apply or not. generally c's will lower the GPA and it will hurt depending on if it is one of the courses used to calculate the prereq GPA that are listed.they will look at whatever is required and you can see if you will be in good shape or not. This varies from school to school, so check them thoroughly.

I agree with others that in terms of intensity and rigor microbio is the more dense course. It will require more brain scratching moments than say nutrition.
