I graduated with an AS in Nursing, and I've applied to an RN-BSN program. I'm hoping I will be able to begin in the school's April semester. I haven't been accepted yet, but I'm sure they will accept me... I just completed the application yesterday.
Where can I put this on my resume? It seems dishonest to put it under education by listing the school name, right?
Should I just mention it in the cover letter? Make it a bullet under my qualifications summary? Or list it under education with an anticipated graduation date?
just noticed another current thread about this same thing... sorry. mods can delete this.

Not if one hasn't even been accepted into the school yet ...
Thanks for the replies. I have no doubt I'll be accepted, as the school is partnered with my community college to guarantee acceptance and my GPA is 3.6. However I'm not 100% sure they'll have everything processed so that I can begin in April. Otherwise I'd be waiting for the July semester.
When I do get an acceptance letter, and I make my enrollment deposit, then it would be appropriate to list the school under education, right?
You could list the school under education, and indicate clearly that you are a candidate for the degree, it's not something you already have.
However, I think it's more appropriate to not put it on a resume' or CV, and just discuss your plans for further education in a cover letter and in interviews (esp. when one is just starting the program, as opposed to being nearly finished).

Agree. Until you have been officially accepted and enrolled in the program, it is inappropriate to list the school/program on your resume. Simply mention that you intend to enroll in an RN-BSN program as soon as feasible.

The way I did it is in the cover letter for the job. I have a BSN; but applied for an MPH. I put in the cover letter that I am applying (my application is now submitted; but this was prior to submission) for an MPH at (school) and hope to start Fall 2013.
That way, it is factual information that they would be interested in; however, it doesn't guarantee anything.
