Me, I work in a clinic where we deal with cancer patients from dr visits to chemo therapy and everyrthing in between and beyond.

i'm a GPN( graduate pratical nurse) and I charge the Alzhiemer's unit 28 residents to count.

Specializes in OR, PACU, Corrections.

I was in a prison RN charge nurse

Now in a hospital working a PACU

Staff nurse in the NICU- Level IIIc.

Hi , I currently work at a level one trauma center in the Trauma ICU (almost 2 years), I also float some to the ED. Previous to this I worked in a Pulmonary step down unit(almost 3 years) (long term vent weaning, trach's, little med-surg ect.), and previous to this I was a respiratory therapist (RRT) for 7 years. I enjoy and have enjoyed all these areas and someday will try flight nursing.

Small rural 60 bed facility. Work ER night shift and love it!!!:balloons:

I have been a nurse for 33 years. med/surg, pedi, registry nurse, critical care mostly, LTC, 15 bed rural hospital as Regulations Coordinator- helping with survey readiness whole hospital(CMS State Survey), Infection Control, Education, Employee Health/Workers Comp, Emergency Preparedness also do 3 0r 4 12 hour shifts in 6 week period in med/surg, ED, ICU,ED,OR,PACU, I am tired!!

Neonatal ICU Level 3, regional perinatal center

ambulatory therapy clinic. we do IV therapies lasting 15 min to up to 10 hours. transfusions, SQ's, IM's, chemotherapy, IV push like bumex, lasix. We also do wound care and synchromed pump refills and adjustments. Also PICC insertions, implanted port maintenance, labs associated with IV meds, and therapeutic phlebotomies. And I love it.

I work in a 50 bed LTC with a locked dementia unit for Alzheimers and related dementias. I also work in a 23 bed home for the severely handicapped that has attached a 4 bed convalesent, infirmary, palliative ward.

Would like to try other areas, like Day surgery, OR, Dialysis. Haven't quite got the confidence yet to "spread my wings" :)

dermatology clinic....we perform MOHS (a certain type of surgery to remove skin CA by stages)...

Whew makes me tired just reading your message--sounds a lot like me--I am in Occ Health right now but have done many of the same things that you have done. I am going on 32 total years--thinking about slowing down some soon--good luck to you
