When does weekend shift diff start/end for night shift

Hey everyone! I was just wondering for those who work night shift and get a weekend shift differential, when does weekend shift start and end for your hospital? Is Friday night considered weekend at your hospital? Is Sunday night? Also, if you don't mind, how much is your night shift differential, and how much is your weekend shift differential?

Our night shift and weekend shift differentials are $3 each.

At my hosp extra $2 3-11p, $4 11-7a.

Weekenders have to work 24 hours EVERY weekend!! (fri, sat or sun)

and 8 hours otherwise. MOst of us work fri, sat and sun.

Weekenders also get 25% more than base pay to work weekends. :wink2:

The hospital that I am planning to work states that there is no weekend night differential. Is that policy of some hospitals?

Our weekend starts at 7p on Friday and goes until 7a on Monday; I get $4/hr for nights and $4.50/hr weekend dif.

At my hospital the weekend differential is $2/hour and is paid on any time worked from 11pm friday through 11pm sunday. We have an evening shift diffential of $1.50/hour paid from 3pm to 11pm and a $4.50/hour night shift differential paid from 11pm to 7am.

I also get a wekend option differential of $10/hour for all hours worked for agreeing to work every Saturday and Sunday.

All of these differentials really add up for those of us who work weekend nights.

I just accepted a night shift job, the HR lady did tell me my hourly base pay but did not mention night diff or weekend diff. does that mean our hospital does not have night/weekend differentials??
