Just curious at what point did you start clinicals in school?

I'm just starting an ADN program. We're in week 7 and our clinical orientation is tomorrow. Our first full clinical day is on 10/17.

Specializes in Orthopedic, Corrections.

I am also in a ADN program. We are in our 5th week of clinicals this week. We have 10 weeks of clinicals this semester. Almost halfway through!!!!!!! I was talking to my hubbie yesterday and said-I don't want to go to work tomorrow!!!!! AKKK!!!! Clinicals are a lot of work. I come home physically and emotionally spent.

Started ADN program Aug. 25th and we start clinicals 10/17 :yeah:

I wonder how far into BSN clinicals usually start

I don't start school until the 27th but our Clinical orientation is only 3 weeks into the program.

Specializes in med/surg, ER.

In our BSN program, we started our clinicals in the second semester. The first was Fundamentals, Health Assessment, Theory and Pharmacology. Finally getting to clinicals was GREAT! It was a reminder why we started this whole process:yeah:

Our BSN is starting clinicals the first week of Nov., this is our first semester. I am excited and nervous at the same time!

My BSN program gives us two quarters of Foundations before we start clinicals spring quarter. Does anyone else work with standardized patients in Foundations?
