What's the weirdest baby name?

Specialties Ob/Gyn Nursing Q/A

Hi, I was wondering about some of those weird names that you've probably encountered in L&D and PP. I remember when I had my maternity rotation a couple of weeks ago, one of the nurses said she remembers a patient that named her child Placenta. I couldn't believe it that some child has to live his life named after disgusting afterbirth!

These names are AMAZING! OK here's my contribution: (I don't know but I been told...)

Clarentavious Niquel,*

Excellent,

Lovely. Saw this posted here before, but it still bristles. I'm sure the parents thought it was beautiful, like Bella maybe? What bothers me is the idea that the parents' first language was NOT English and that no one had the rocks to tell them "In theory that sounds good, but..."

I loved the post about the rules!!!

*You know, it just hit me, the poor guy really is out there somewhere.

Weird names....

My sisters and I went to school with a Candy Kain, April Rains, Sherman Tank, and a Crystal Surface...

James Dean a groomsman in my wedding.

Working as a School Nurse I have come across a few wild ones as well: Blazin' (apparently both a

girl and boy name - I've had both), Daisy-Boo (middle name Heaven - kid you not), Lavender and Violet

(sisters), Cobra, Poe'Nay. The worst one so far: Damian Lucifer (first and middle name - poor kid!)

Oh, and I've had an Omer Omer (first and last name - no middle name). At first we

thought it was a cultural thing - they had immigrated to our country less than ten years ago. But the

strange thing was that the other kids in the family - older and younger - had distinctive and pretty

common first names - maybe they just had "writer's block" the day he was born.

The funnest name i have ever heard was "wameesha" so ghetto!

Lavendar and Violet are old-fashioned (my Great-Grandmother was Ivy, my Grandmother was June), and I once knew a guy named Warren Warren.

Cash Money Moore

Princess

Mister (first name)

Foxy Lady

I have also heard of babies named Deladumoan when it was given for non-lactating women.

The Nosmosking - is NO SMOKING - likely seen in the delivery room

I have always heard there were twins - lemonjello and orangejello

How about twins named Danny Darrell and Darrell Danny? Happened ;)

Lots of good ones here, ones that stick out for me are Lunesta and Marijuane. Guess we know what mom and dad are into.
