Each embassy has their own timeframe, depending on what you applied for, you find it on the cic site.

Look for posts by Breech, they will give you an idea on time frame but a lot will depend on what you have applied for

You may find it quicker to go the TWP route and adjust to PR once in Canada. According to the link PR skilled worker is looking at 48 months after acknowledgement of application

You can apply for TWP while still allowing your PR to go on too - one of the nurses on my unit did that, wish I'd have thought of it!

She applied for PR in 2007 in the UK then, realising how long that was going to take, she applied for TWP - she started working August '08 via the TWP & then got her PR finalised this year.

Even the route you have taken RGN1 shouldn't take you too long to get PR
