As many of you know by now, Kim Kardashian had her baby. As if you couldn't miss all the annoying coverage over every single detail. They named that poor kid North West. What are some of the funniest/weirdest/most unusual baby names you have seen? Could be a patient or someone you know in your personal life. And if you are someone with one of those odd names did you just learn to live with it or would you change it.

Not lemonjello, just Lemon. I always pronounced it LAY-mon, kind of French. I could not imagine someone naming their child Lemon. He did tell me I was pronouncing it incorrectly. When I apologized he said, "No, that's fine! I like it the way you say it! Just wish I had thought of it sooner." (He was 58.)

Okay, so I was engaged to be married, lived at home with my folks and a few months prior to my wedding, my mother made my first Gyn an appointment for me (I was too embarrassed) with the first available doctor. (I preferred a female if possible)

Two months before the wedding my mom and I went for my first check up. She said, "honey speak to the doctor alone" (at first) "then I will come in as he explains procedure" ( a Pap in 1 week) and potential birth control methods ( OC etc)

Well, I sheepishly went in the office when the nurse introduced me to a tall, stoic looking man and said, " this is the virgin young lady that I told you about, then smiled and told me.."this is Dr Hyman"! I can't remember anything else after that!:o I was so embarrassed and speechless...

I kept that doctor for only 2 weeks then felt compelled to change I hated having to tell my fiancé that I was going to have a Gyn check-up by doctor Hyman! (we were celibate prior to wedding)

BY THE WAY i am now married 30 years and have two sons so never had a daughter to share that story, told my now adult nieces and they laughed and laughed were quite amused

Let me guess... his first name was Buster.

After my last post, I started thinking about various other names I've heard. A great-niece and great-nephew of mine - Lyric and Orion. Kind of cute when I consider the family was kind of scared what names they would come up with (parents are new-age hippies).

Also, my mom told us of a boy in her graduating class (1947) in our very German part of the state. You can imagine the giggling from the Americanized audience when "Henry Schitz" was called forward.

Mom said he changed his name shortly thereafter...

Isn't there a "Ben_Dover" posting on this site somewhere?

The guy I mentioned didn't sign his name with the 'y' on the end.

Can you imagine the tough time he got from schoolmates?

I think being Dick Dover could be quite painful...in many ways.

Ben Dover is a British Media star which is what I thought of. If someone is using that name on Allnurses good luck to them. But it does have connotations to Brits.

PS, Do not Google Ben Dover unless you want to see less than savoury items - you have been warned.:eek:
