I am getting a canvas tote for clinicals.

So far I am going to have my

-stethoscope

-bandage scissors

-light pen

-mdpocket clipboard

-a little notebook

-pens

what do you have in yours???

and suggestions for what else new students will need??

My clinical bag included:

Stethoscope, BP cuff, pen light, a couple black pens, black marker, dry erase marker, scissors, tape, ID badge, tide marker, drug guide book, Nanda care plan book, a small notepad, a clip board, & mints

I was looking up the nanda book.. did you use it often?

I would not take a bp cuff, you need to sanitize it in between every patient. This is a huge infection control issue. If you have an isolation PT you can't use it. Use the facilities.

Oh I Know, My facilities have them in all the rooms..

I'm in my 4th semester now. I usually don't bring a bag with me. I carry in my pockets: my phone (drug app, IV compatibility app), my stethoscope, my penlight attached to my badge, multicolor pen, dry erase marker, and my watch. Everything else can be obtained from the supply room.
