Nurses Humor

Let's do something fun! Everybody on allnurses.com has a very interesting and unique username. What is the back story of your username? Mine is just like it states, "Life's a Journey!"

I must confess that I picked my user name after a particularly frustrating day of fetching food and drink for a batch of drug seekers.....it was one of those days that I honestly spent at least 50% of my day waiting on these folks....my daughter is a server at an upscale restaurant and she makes more in tips than I do in wages.
So there.

Mine is pretty straight forward. I represent Joisey, baby!
And Cheyla is how my name is pronounced by my family and chilhood friends...the spanish pronunciation of Sheila.

I am quite fond of Starbucks and I order my drink with an extra shot of espresso and no whip cream. Also, when dealing with patients, and people in general I do not sugar coat things. Extra shot... I am assertive and make needs known, but not abrasive that would be 2 extra shots

I'm addicted to decaf cafe mochas. I have to have at least one every day. It is frustrating, but at least I don't smoke cigarettes anymore and that's how I justify it. I've basically subsituted one addiction for another.

I had to leave nursing (and all work) due to illness in 2000, hence "RetiredTooSoon".

When I changed my used name I tried to be creative, but alas, there was no epiphany forhtcoming. I said to myself I was getting too old to be doing this stuff. My (new) user name reflected at that time I only had 14 months to go until retirement (now down to 11) Merry Christmas (Hannukah, or whatever your faith allows) to all and a prosperous new year as well.

Pyra= fire
Zen=at peace with my universe
so basically a contradiction, I spend part of my time fired up and the rest in a state of bliss.

Knitting is my favorite hobby and I usually carry at least one project with me at all times. The "witch" is because I'm a pagan tarot card reading magic worker who believes in the power of positive thinking, self-reflection and self-directed change while still submitting to the will of the universe and the gods. But "witch" is shorter and easier to type.
