Welcome
Everyone's test will be different and lately we have seen a few post they got none or very few SATA. Ideally shouldn't get maths and usually see a few on prioritising and delegation plus some meds but again some members have posted they didn't get any meds. The exam is different as the questions are rotated which is why you generally have to wait 45 or 90 days before you resit the exam if you fail. If you fail the exam you will get a printout that tells you how you did which does indicate shortfall areas but really we suggest when having to take the exam again study as if you haven't taken it before.
I just took my exam...had 265 questions and failed. I only had 3 SATA...no math...and all multiple choice. I had alot of delegation, infection control, some meds...i dont remember what else....i answered alot of questions and it was horrible! I have never heard of a special tutor that knows how you did on nclex...that would be cool if it was way cheaper! Have you taken your nclex yet?
i asked some nclex-rn passers i know what kind of questions they got. they said they had sata questions, drag and drop questions and hot spot questions. I think if you have these types of questions you are sure to pass because they are superior level questions. that is just my opinion. i failed my first nclex-rn exam and i am still sad at times. i couln't believe i failed.

They are just a format nothing superior about them, some are even test questions and no one knows which is which. We have had a few members post this last couple weeks that they got none or very few SATA and passed

I was curious what type of questions everyone that took it once, twice or more you had on their exam? I had alot of prioritization (which pt should the nurse see first), one delegation, many infection control, alot of pharmacology, a few lab values to choose which showed a problem, but I did not have one math calculation, not one SATA, no pulldowns or click on the picture...they were all multiple choice!! What does it mean to have none of those kinds of questions? I heard that if you had alot of SATA you were doing very well. Each time you take the test, is it different? If you have alot of pharm on one, then next time you take it is there not alot of Pharm?? :nurse:Also, I heard from someone that his wife took the NCLEX 6 times and they found a special tutor that has access to how you did exactly on the boards and will teach you what you didn't know, but it costs about $1000 to do it. Has anyone heard of such a thing?
