Hello Prettyreader,
I think you should take the academic module. :)
In my opinion, academic module is more difficult than the general module.
And one more thing, employers require nurses to take the academic module of IELTS. Medical field people should be able to communicate well so as to avoid grave mistakes.
good day..:) my friend wants to inquire about ielts.. he already took general ielts for immigration.. is it still necessary to take another ielts exam (academic) for him to apply for employment or any exam in canada like crne?
Check with the province college but generally Academic is required by them so if he has done general he may find he will have to do academic
If he has started the process to the college then he will not get eligibility to sit CRNE etc until his file is complete and IELTS would be required. Probably better to get it done sooner rather than later
hi,i am wondering if there is an expiration regarding Academic IELTS with respect to CRNE requirements.Right now,i am preparing for my General IELTS exam,of course, base on the input that i got on this site- I must take the Academic as well.
Hoping you can share,thanks!

Hi good day!!! I just would like to ask help from you guys...I started applying as an Immigrant in Canada, and one of the requirements is to take IELTS exams. I know that being a nurse if I will apply as a worker in other countries, I should take the Academic module of IELTS. But as an Immigrant, the required module is General.
I am confused as to what module should I take? The consulting agency that's processing my papers told me that I should take the general training module. But in the review center the professor's advice is to take the academic module, for me to be able to work as a nurse in Canada.
Can somebody please help me?:cry:Will appreciate your reply soonest...
Thanks a lot!!!
