filipino to migrate in Canada.... what to do to become a RN?
Good day.:) I am applying for an immigrant in Canada. Fortunately, i have our medical request already. If everything will go smoothly, i am planning to fly to canada early next year. but before that, i am planning to apply as a registered nurse in Ontario, Canada while i am here in the philippines. i understand that we need to apply to take the nursing exam (CRNE) in the regulatory body of the chosen province. In my case, i chose Toronto, Ontario since my sister is residing there. So i need to apply to the College of Toronto to take the exam right? i visited their site and initial registration was shown there: Initial registration According to the legislation governing the College — the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) and the Nursing Act, 1991 — you must register with the College of Nurses and be a member in good standing in order to practise as a nurse in Ontario. The initial registration fee is $171.73. There is no expiration on your Certificate of Registration. To remain a member of the College in the following years, you must pay the annual fee of $122.66. My question is, do i have to pay the $171.73 as my first step? Please correct me if i am wrong. Your reply will be highly appreciated. :)

nurse from philippines to toronto, canada
i am a registered nurse here in the Philippines... I have applied for an immigrant visa in Canada... (specifically in Toronto, Ontario where my sister is residing) if the visa will be approved, I am planning to go to Canada right away (God willing) what should i do if I'll reach Canada? I want to practice my profession as a nurse...:redpinkhe my friend in Canada told me that i have to take an exam (is it CRNE?). she said that if i pass, i will be a Licensed Practical Nurse.. if i want to be a registered nurse, i still have to study for 2 years. is it true? by the way, i am a masters degree holder here in the philippines. Masters of Arts in Nursing..
