I think I am going to turn down the offer and hope for the best. Sounds stupid, but I really hate to quit after 2 weeks. It looks really bad on my part. I am also going to tell them the truth on why I am rejecting the offer and hopefully they will understand and extend more time for me to think lol
Would telling them about the other job be a bad idea?
Are you a new grad? Sounds like a tough choice I also wouldn't want to quit so soon after working if I were to be offered a different job. I tend to over think things there's a chance you might not be offered the hospital job. And what if you decline this offer and don't get hired by the hospital. That would mean more time without a paycheck. But also you don't want to take a job if you're not going to be happy there.
Never a good idea to refuse an actual offer for the potential of an offer. You may get lucky but on the whole this was a foolish gamble. There is ALWAYS a probation period at the beginning of any job in which in either party can say "this is not a good fit" and part ways amicably. The two weeks would not have been bad. They would most likely not have let you work the two weeks out, as you would not have been really up to speed enough to be useful to them anyway, and you would have been able to start immediately with the hospital job. Giving two weeks at the beginning of a new job looks far less bad than a period of unemployment.

I've got a job offer at an Endoscopy center with great hours (mon-fri; 7-3) no weekends;no holidays! I have until tmrw to make a choice!
However I have another interview at a hospital working straight nights (my #1 choice) but it's not till next week! It's not a guarantee that I'll get the position though... So what should I do about the job offer? My husband is telling me to take their offer & just quit once I get the other job, but I don't want to burn any bridges or upset them in case I want to apply there again in the future!...
If I do take the offer & end up getting the night position as well... How would I tell them I no longer want to work there?...
