what does this status mean for my application. i have had it posted for a while for a position, i guess better than the noway message? i know what is says, my question seemed not so smart after i read it. am i being looked at with this status. this came after the your application recieved status instead of the other candidates message. i am trying to see hope. spelling i no

You are right, it is better than the "no way" message. I would take it as they are reviewing your app and if they want to interview they will call you.

It is a simple, we got your app.....don't contact us, we'll contact you.

I have begun to really dispise the adoption of "computerized applications", it takes the human out of human resources.

Just depends on the company. Often that one is automatically generated and sent by the computer to eveybody who applies to that place.

Some places will never send you another notification of any kind. Some will change your status and say "you are being considered", or say "no longer being considered".
