What order did you take your Excelsior Exams?

Published

I am going through College Network and just submitted my application to Excelsior. I passed Health Safety last weekend :) and was told by College Network I could take Transitions while I wait for acceptance. Has anyone else done this?

Thanks in Advance

You cannot take Transitions until you are officially accepted by EC and have paid the $895 or whatever it is now for the enrollment fee. It seems the College Network is a little off the mark ...

Anyway, congrats on passing your first exam -- keep up the good work! And welcome to Allnurses, too. :)

This just started on Dec. 1st according to both Excelsior and College Network. I am in limbo waiting for my acceptance so I guess they felt this would be another test to allow prior to complete Admission. Would there be any issue with me taking it "out of order" from the order I was given originally. I thought this would have been one of the last exams I would take.

Nope -- you can take them in any order, and Transitions is very different from all the rest of the exams. However, you can only take the first two nursing exams before enrolling.

I also went through college network, I took Health Safety, Chronicity, Reproductive, Lifespan 1, 2, 3 and then Transitions, FCCA and now CPNE.

How is Transitions different from the other exams?

Very dry, very factual. A lot of history, who did what, etc.

LOVELY! Thanks so much for the information!
