What next after getting CRNE elligibility.

Published

I am an Indian Nurse , i got CRNE elligibility recently. I did processing through an agency but am not clear about the steps to follow. They tell that, they can find me an employer through which i can get a TWP to work in Canada and within 2 years i have to passs CRNE provided within 3 times chance.

Can i do PR processing while in Canada without passing CRNE?

What is the normal salary for an assistant nurse/ care provider in (Ontario) Canada and how many hours can we normally work per week?

How much is the pass percentage for CRNE, how many questions will be there and what will be the time period of the exam. Is there any recent changes?

My question is after 2 years whether i have to come back if i fail 3 times or can i continue there in Canada by any way.

I am confident in taking the exam but still we should expect worst also, that made me to raise the topic.

Also, if any 1 has any suggestion in preparing for CRNE pls let me know,

I am preparing with Mosby, Saunders and saunders Q&A question bank.

TWP will require a LMO from employer providing info that they are not able to employ locally, once you get that you apply for TWP at your local Canadian embassy. They will request you go through a medical before supplying you with a letter either approving TWP or denying TWP. If you get letter of approval you will get TWP on arrival to Canada.

As long as you are a registered RN with over 12 months full time or equivalent experience then you can apply for PR you will however need to have a valid English pass or French and meet other requirements as per the CIC website. The list is due out in July and RN's may be on it however PR via the FSW route is capped unless your employer is willing to provide letter of employment. You can start the process once the new list is issued as this years list is closed.

If you have a TWP then it is issued only for one employer and has to be full time which is 40 hours is a week but will depend on employer.

Read the threads on the CRNE and you will see pass mark varies on each exam. Time to take the exam is currently 4 hours

Plenty of threads in the CRNE forum in the Canadian forum on what to study etc remember though CRNE is different to the NCLEX and I can't say I know that Saunders do a CRNE book
