Yes s/s is signs and symptoms.
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is right side pump failure. Basically, the heart can't pump enough blood out to the body to meet normal demands. S&S may include peripheral edema, diff breathing, SOB /c exertion (even walking from the couch to the fridge), fatigue and weakness among others.
On a side note, since school started last week, I seem to have much less time to surf the web. Hmmmm, I'm sure there's a nursing dx for this....

Hi All,
I am on my second of 14 drug cards that I have to turn in on Saturday. Okay, I've encountered something I don't understand. What does this mean?
Monitor for and report S&S of CHF. I think S&S mean signs and symtoms... am I right? Also, what does CHF mean?
