What to do with lab coats after leaving job

Any suggestions for disposing of lab coats when you leave a job?  It has my name embroidered on it.

If it were me, I would cut my name and facility logo out of the jacket and completely destroy them, and just dispose of the old coat in the trash.

I would personally just leave it at the work place and let them deal with it

You could use it working around the garage or painting. Might make a good apron in the kitchen too.
