What if I pass the Vermont Nclex Exam, is it possible to endorse it to Illinois?

Hi, I am a new registered nurse here in the Philippines. I have questions about NCLEX, CGFNS and TOEFL in applying for Illinois state. I don't know which test I will take first. But my friend said that you need to take CGFNS and TOEFL in order to have an authorization to sit for the NCLEX exam of Illinois. Is that true? Do I need to take the CGFNS exam or their CES report only? Also, assuming I already passed the NCLEX Vermont exam, is it possible to endorse your Vermont License to Illinois without taking CGFNS and TOEFL? If so, what are the requirements? Please help me. Thank you very much! :)

Hi, I am a new registered nurse here in the Philippines. I have some questions regarding my application for Illinois. It says there that the TOEFL may be waived by the Department/Division if my credentials evaluation report indicates my nursing education program was conducted in English utilizing English Textbooks.

If I apply for my CES Report now, will they be the one to tell me that I don't have to take the TOEFL exam or CTS will be the one to tell me that? If yes that the CTS will tell me that I don't need to take the TOEFL exam, does it mean that I have to work on my application to them now too?

Thanks in advance! :)

Your CES report must indicate that your education was conducted in English using English textbooks. CTS will evaluate your CES report and they will waive your TOEFL if they saw that your medium of instruction was conducted in English. You can work on your CES application first and after a month or two your CES report will be available for CTS. You can then submit your licensure application to CTS. You can also simultaneously submit your application to CGFNS-CES and CTS but problem arise when your CES report is delayed due to some unavoidable problem between your school and CGFNS. Remember that you have to accomplished fingerprinting when you pass your application to CTS. And fingerprinting will expire within 6months. So for precautionary measure, apply for your CGFNS-CES and wait for your report first before applying for CTS.

Thanks Daigorot! If I apply for CES report now, does it have validity period? If I need a CES Report to another country like 2years from now, do I have to apply for another one or they'll just resend my first report? Another thing, as I have said I still don't have TOEFL. If I pass my application now to the CTS, and they've reviewed that I need TOEFL, how long will they allow me to complete my requirements to take the exam?

You should be able to use the same CES report however there will be a fee to pay to do it

Got it! thanks Silverdragon! =)

Hi! I have follow up questions regarding my application to CTS.

Do the CTS and IDENTIX accepts bank drafts from the Philippines? If yes to whom am I going to address the Bank drafts?

Do I have to pay the $200 for the NCSBN EXAMINATION and $91 for the CTS EXAMINATION upon passing the application or only the $91?

Is the NCSBN EXAMINATION same as the pearsonvue?

Thank you! :)
