  1. Masks
  2. Hyper regulatory nonsense
  3. Useless, blanket, time consuming screenings. The list grows longer every year
  4. Mind numbing charting
  5. Increasingly entitled public
  6. Disjointed healthcare system
  7. Moral distress to me, caused by things such as Covid limitations of visitors policies, ridiculous extension of natural life, pouring precious common resources towards people who make zero effort to take care of themselves.
  8. Disregard of safety and sanity of frontline healthcare workers
  9. Billions diverted to corporate salaries
  10. Masks

- Lack of "proper PPE" ( I have to use hairnets for shoe covers because they are too small for all the dudes). BUT, I have to wait for a "PPE observer" to watch me don & doff correctly!

BTW- She told me that I couldn't take off my gown & gloves at the same time! ...uggggh, I'm freakin wearing hairnets for shoes covers and you're worried about doffing gown & gloves together?

I'm 64 years old... should just give up & file for my social security

I was 62 when I was fired from a 17 year position and decided to retire, LookUp2Sky.

SS meets more than I need to live on, and I'll be applying for Medicare soon, 3 months before I turn 65.

Now, I've had to my advantage a working wife, medical Nurse Belinda, who pays my health insurance and enjoys spending money on me. I live a relatively fugal lifestyle and am no gold-digger.

Had I been single, I would have retired at age 65 and gone on Medicare.

Just something to consider, LookUp2Sky.

Not in our clinics. PPE gowns and masks are worn the whole time we are there. Shields on when assessing/directly caring for the patients.  Makes for a long 12 hour day. We have been told the masks are permanent. *sigh* Sucks.

The gowns went a while ago. We are back to only using them during cannulation and take off again. Thank goodness. Those things are so HOT!
