What happens if the NCLEX stops at 77 questions?!

Published

So i took the NCLEX today...i had WAY too many SATAs and i have heard that they are the harder end of the questions but i did not feel too confident. It seemed like the questions did not get any easier throughout the entire exam. i only had one calculation, a ton of pharm...uggh. Well, i got to 75 and in a way, i was hoping the exam would shut off but on the other hand, i thought maybe that would not be good because it was possibel i did SO badly on the first 75 questions that they knew to fail me right off the bat :(. Well, it didnt stop at 75 and when i saw 76 i was really excited because i knew the program had not come to a 95% certainty on whether or not i had passed it but i was sure i would have to get the majority of the harder questions correct from that point forward...well, the 76th question was something about anemia and i KNOW i got that correct (i even went home and looked it up after the exam!) and then they gave me 77...a mental health question about a personality disorder- i had actually studied that topic specifically and the question was, "What would the nurse do FIRST" ones. (I also looked that one up when i got home and got it correct also)...then the exam shut off...im a nervous wreck. i originally thought i failed but then maybe not? Does anyone have any feedback- i would love to hear thoughts!!:scrying:

Hopefully you got quick results in your state, so you won't be anxious too long. But sounds like the type of questions I had on my nclex and I passed. So good luck!

Wishing you good luck.

Go to the Thread: Pearsonvue "Trick"..is this really TRUE?

You can pass or fail with any number. Hang in there and good luck

well i tried the pearsonvue "trick" and it would not let me register. i highly doubt that is a good indicator of my performance on the exam. it just doesnt seem logical- almost too easy...im just going to keep praying and either way, pass or fail, i know i will be fine. this is the career i want more than anything so i will just have to move forward :)
