I know I can't base my decision on others but I registered for Essentials in Reproductive Health and just tried to schedule the exam. The closest Pearson vue is 30 minutes away and the only dates that they have right now is January 8th and January 20th. I wanted to take it on the 12-15th but there is nothing. I did really well in maternity this summer so its all review. I just don't want to get too cocky and rush and take it too fast but my goal was to take it and NC7 all in January. So I wanted to see how fast others have taken their exam after registering to give me an idea if I'm off my rocker. TIA.

NC Girl BSN 1,845 Posts Specializes in Psych, LTC, Acute Care. Dec 30, 2007 I scheduled the January 7th date at 8am. I plan to check the site several times a date to catch a date in my time frame. Until then, I plan to study like crazy to refresh myself with all the material. I have 8 days! I'm sure someone will cancel a time. If I'm not ready, I;m definetly pushing the time back. Thanks.

Dec 30, 2007 I took NC4, NC7, and NC5 at the beginning, middle, and end of September; that's probably the closest together I've tested. But I took NC3 at the end of July and didn't take any any exams in August, so I had been studying for NC4 and NC7 during that time. Everyone warned me about NC5 being very difficult because of the psych portion, so I was a little freaked out about it but felt ready -- I have a pretty good psych background anyway, and we see a lot of psych patients where I work.I was all over the Pearson Vue site when I was trying to get a better date for Micro ... LOL! I must have jacked that exam around 6 times, between rescheduling the day and then picking a better time during the day. :) I'm sure you'll do well! You seem to be very diligent about studying.

I started off as a Journalism major/German minor, so I had all the English/language classes covered with my AA degree. Heh.
