What is Difference between NCLEX and CGFNS

Hi, I'm foreign nurse also. I live in Ca. and here it took me 16 months to get eligible to take the exam. I'm going for it in August I'm preparing myself from March. I went for a review classes here in L.A. and now I study, study, practice questions like Saunders, Kaplan and 3500.

Go for the web. site from your state of registred nursing and apply...

Be patient, you need to get your transcript and maybe curriculum. Here in California you don't need CGFNS onle pass the NCLEX.

I am a new user in this form. I would like to know difference between NCLEX and CGFNS. Where can i find/get information about NCLEX. Within How much time I can be prepared for NCLEX.
Where can i find the Material..like Books..CD's..etc.
How muhc does it cost me?
where do i go to apply for Exam?
how often they gave out exams?
what are the Scop for Foreign Nurse?

NCLEX is the national licensing exam required of all nurses who wish to work as nurses in the US, whether a graduate from the US or overseas.

CGFNS is specifically for graduates of foreign nursing schools. Ir iwas created about 25 years ago as a precursor to a nurse being sent to the US to work. Back then you could come on just a simple temporary work permit, but those are no longer available.

Depending on where you attended school and what your background is, you can be ready for the NCLEX exam in just a couple of months. I suggest that you look at the International forum to get much more information that will be quite beneficial to you.

Well you can sign up for http://www.rnboardreview.com it's free or http://www.caring4you.net or http://www.nclex-rn.net or you can buy home study kit http://www.feuernursingreview.com this woman explain everything in detail and it's easy to understand.

I'm using Saunders CD, 3500 and heard that the book Saunders Nclex review it's good. Just go to barnes and Noble and buy it. If you have no idea what they are testing for then review first the content, and then practice questions.

You need to apply to the BON for the state where you wish to be licensed.

They will need to accept your credentials for you to be permitted to sit for the NCLEX exam. If you haven't started that process, I suggest that you begin as soon as possible. It can take months for you to get approval to sit for the exam.
