What are the concepts needed to be reviewed in preparation for the NCLEX RN exam?

Published

Hi, I just want to ask what are the concepts highlighted for the NCLEX RN exam. Well, I know that everything should be studied I just want to know where to focus on my review.

I only have Kaplan's Qbank as a supplemental material for my review. I'm reading Saunder's too. But I find Kaplan's questions more challenging because I only get 60% and above for most of my practice tests but below 70% and sometimes 50% plus. Im really frustrated how to pass the exam. Hoping for response.

I personally would just concentrate on answering questions and understand the rationale. Make sure before looking at the given answers you know what the question is asking

Thanks silverdragon!

I only get 50+% to 60+% to my practice tests with Kaplan. Is that bad silver?

Kaplan isn't something I know a lot about but if you do a search for Kaplan there are a few threads discussing scores and what others who have used it think

Yeah. I 've searched and read some of the discussion. It just makes me nervous about mu 2nd take because I dont know what to do anymore if I would still fail. Its degrading. Im supplementing my knowledge with saunder's though. Sigh.

Thank you Silver for responding to my thread.:kiss

You should pick a method to prepare and stick with it, putting forth as much effort as you can. Try Suzanne's plan with the Saunders text. Or just get several review texts, and go through their questions, over and over, learning the rationales for the wrong, as well as the right answers. Whatever you do, you have to give it a lot of work and be consistent. You can do this. Good luck.
