I just wanted to make a thread dedicated to the companies. Which one do you use? How long have you used them? What do you like about them?

Specializes in Hospice-SNF-MedSurg.

I'm working with Premeir Healthcare Professionals..rated #1 on the Highway Hypodermics site, but better yet I've heard from others that they are good, I've crossed off a few companies, Core, Intelistaff, OPG,American Moble and others, ..I've talked to them all..I heard Cirrus is good too, also Trinity and Abetta Care good luck!

Can anyone tell me anything about RNDEMAND out of Texas. I have accepted an assignment with them in Laguna Beach California. They send the check for your license with you up front so you do not have to wait for reimbursement. The people I've talked to there have been very helpful and pleasant. I am feeling very positive about this agency. Any info on them?

Thanks

From some of their posts it looks like their pay is on the better side. I know that they are part of the evil empire though.

i know the next question is who is the evil empire. it is a group of travel agencies that are all owned by one conglomerate. here is part of there annual report filed with the sec:

we use a multi-brand recruiting strategy to enhance our ability to successfully attract healthcare professionals in the united states and internationally. our separate recruitment brands are american mobile healthcare, medical express, nursechoice in demand, nursesrx, preferred healthcare staffing, thera tech staffing, medtravelers, mti staffing, rn demand, o’grady-peyton international, merritt, hawkins & associates, and staff care, inc.

of course you do not know that you are working for one in the same company because they will not tell you this up front!

whoa, i'm glad you told me. several of the above companies are on my "no" list for poor housing/pay/benefits/bad reviews from other nurses. odd, some of them were bidding against each other and i was very straightforward as to who had the best offer.

i'll take the above under consideration. thank you again...

hi,

does anyone have any information on advantge rn ? i would appreicate any input...also, pearldora may i ask where in cali....

charity, i'm in northern california. it's wonderful here...

I went with World Health for my first assignment and they were wonderful to me. I'm having a little trouble finding another assignment through them but that may be because I'm a bit picky about where I want to go and what I want to do. I didn't have to pay for anything including phone and cable on my assignment, and when I had to move in the middle of it they were really good. I'm finding out they paid really well too.

I have been trying to find the travel company "World Health" on the web...do they have a website? Thanks.

I would be very careful going w/ world health right now. Do a google search and do some homework. They are currently underinvestigating for tax fraud and have several class action lawsuits pending against them. They also filed for bankruptcy near the end of 2005. This is all out there on search engines. just look up their name and lawsuit, or their name and tax evasion....

Just trying to help!!!

Thanks Pearldora!! I had no idea....that was really helpful...I am with RNNetwork right now and they are so good to me but I was just wanting to check out all my options. I think I will just play it safe and stick with them b/c they are so dependable! Thanks again for the warning!

Any news on TVL (http://www.tvlhealthcare.com/index.html)? A traveler I work with said they were great, but looking for more input. Thanks!

i have travelled with both ogp and amn and never again, i have tried to warn others about them as well. low pay, poor housing and support.

i have also travelled with ppr travel, ( my recruiter was stacey)bridge staffing( my recruiter was pam heinman) both companies very good to work with, the pay was great but not exceptional, both provided good back up and support and have a good range of assignments.

i am currently travelling with world health.
