Newly Rn licensed here...
I am just curious what specialty area would you recommend best for new RN's with no experience?

Emergency Room!!! That's where I want to go. Sorry I couldn't answer your question, but at least you got something :) it just seems so interesting!!

It depends! What are your career goals? What are you interested in? What is available in your area? I don't think there is a correct answer to your question. If you can get an internship in the area of your choice, I think that is the best place to start. Congrats and good luck!
I am really interested with Operating room but there is no internship for that position in our area. :thnkg:I am considering Med-surg or oncology. I have heard Med-Surg is a great place to start in nursing coz u'll learn valuable skills that will serve you well throughout nursing career.
Just asking for opinion... there is no correct and wrong answer here.:typing

Hi heaven sent88_RN !I am in a same position as you are, in fact we took NCLEX in a same day and place and passed. I am not newly graduated I am a foreign nurse though..Lets keep a company!
BTW are you going to MCH intership fair this friday?
I have been watching your posts but didn't have a chance to write , I have very limited time because of my kids:lol_hitti.
I am foreign grad too.. where are you from?
Ukraine.
U keep applying for jobs already? I dont know about that MCH internship fair..
Yes I will be very soon applying...
the fair is from 9-5 pm. I was looking for anything in Collin county but can't find so far..so I have to go with Dallas even though it's about 45 min from me.What about you? I think we could be a great sourse for each other.
Is this Methodist? yes, im looking for job too but it is kinda hard coz i dont have any experience yet as an RN and im foreign grad. hows ur job hunt doing?
No this is Medical City hospital. But I am just like you with hospital experience ,since I used to be home health nurse.
I am just beginning with job hunting, mostly researching..

If you don't have a passion to go somewhere specific, med surg is probably your best bet in that you'll get a bit of everything.
