Why require 15 “quality posts?” Was there a problem with spam at one point? I wanted to send a message but this rule prevented me. I am genuinely curious and would love to understand!

thanks!

Yes, we did and still do have issues with spammers hence the 15 post rule

Thank you I was wondering why I could not send messages. I will have to be more active on the forum now. It is such a useful tool!

Thank you for the information! I was wondering why I couldn't send private messages.

Thank You for explaining this. I’m trying to find current students of a program I’m looking to apply to ask them questions. This is message one of 15, LOL.

You can always start a topic in the student section that is viewable by all- much more likely to get responses that way.

Thank you for explaining this!

Yes, as long as they are quality posts. You can not post a response like " Good" or "I agree" in 15 posts and have the admins unlock your PM feature. They need to be at least a sentence each.

I experienced the message too, and I was a little confused. Thank you for explaining what the website considers to be "quality".
