WGU vs Capella vs Depaul vs Phoenix

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hello there,

I am currently looking at an RN to MSN program. I was already looking into , and then I found that the employer I work for has a list of 4 colleges it works with to give you tuition discounts, extra scholarships, etc.

So...that's when I decided to look at Capella, University of Phoenix, and DePaul as well.

I am just wondering if any of you found any pros/cons, benefits, downfalls, etc or things to note between these varying schools?

The tuition break is pretty much the same for all the programs so price would come down to what the school charges anyway, since none of them offer a much bigger discount over the other, so whatever you have in terms of accreditation, program, and other tips would be awesome!

I feel like I'm still leaning towards WGU but I haven't dug super deep into the other 3 yet either, I'm still learning ;)

**Edit**

In regards to these four, does anyone specifically know which of them award you a BSN when you are in a RN to MSN program? That info seems tricky to find...but much appreciated!

Thanks!

WGU does award the BSN along the way.

Capella and Phoenix are for-profits.

Non profit isn't always non-profit. See https://allnurses.com/nursing-online-distance/capella-rn-bsn-1098722.html for a comparison of and Capella based on my research.

Thanks í ½í¸ your review on Capella was very insightful and helpful.
