Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone else is starting this program Oct 1st....? maybe we could start a support system of sorts....I am excited to finally get on the road to finishing this degree:nurse:!
My intake interview is scheduled for tomorrow but I haven't heard anything about my transcript eval. How long did your transcript eval take? Did they keep you in the loop throughout the process?
I had to keep calling their office, it doesn't seem as though they just offer information without alot of follow up. I sent my transcripts a little under a month ago.
Hey! I finnally got back my transcript evaluation, and spoke with my advisor. In addition to the Nursing courses, I would need: 1- foundations of college math, 2&3- language and communication research and presentation, 4- college algebra, 5- statistics, 6- behavioral science survey, 7- nutrition, 8- biochemisty, 9- a&p lab only, and 10- micro and lab (as apparently you cant seperate the two). Ahhh!!! Still even if it takes 2 semesters, it will still cost less than half of chamberlain, and I don't think that it can take longer. Would still love it if I could finish in 6 months (great birthday present). Now just need them to schedule intake interview....
I think it's unrealistic to expect to finish all of those classes in two terms. I think you should plan on 3 terms for the 7 nursing courses, plus 10 prerequisite classes.
I just had my intake interview today, start on 10/1 as long as I can scrounge up the money. Anyone else have any issues with getting tuition reimbursement from your employer? Mine wants to pay for 6 credits, am having a hard time working out that this university just charges a flat rate per semester...

i just got my tuition reimbursement papers today to fill out and I am also wondering how to make them understand the 6 month term. My employer gives us $5000 per year as long as you maintain a B or above..thats another thing, WGU is pass /fail so I would have to ask them for letter grade equivalents..i hope I do not get turned down because of these things...
same problem here,I don't know how to get the cost of books and materials for my employer, the bursar sent me an invoice, showintg the tuition, lab fee and nursing fee that's all. does any body know how or where to get the program requirement and quarter registration from the school, I'm getting frustrated with this rembursment thing.
I am starting on October 1st also.. I have to take 29 units total.. 23 units for the nursing stuff plus nutrition and biochem.. I am shooting for completing everything in 6 months.. I know it sounds a lot but I wanna set a higher goal for myself.. anybody else wanting to do this in 6 months?? :)

My employer also does reimbursement, they too have a hard time trying to figure out how this school works.

I heard somewhere that a "pass" at WGU is equivalent to a "B" letter grade, but I don't know if they have it in writing anywhere.

Me too! I am just having trouble saying it out loud...lol..I am hoping but I told myself if it does not happen its ok too..I have a habit of putting alot of pressure on myself...I am motivated and have the time to devote to it so we will see how it goes...I wish us all luck!!!
