I recently got hired at a Chicago-area hospital after beginning my BSN classes through WGU. I have three classes to go! I've heard that, of the program you are looking into requires a GPA, you will have trouble with transferring. But, I have also spoken to other WGU students who have gotten their MSNs through WGU then went for their NP separately.Good luck!

I have recently just decided to attempt to get signed up at WGU. My next step is to take to entrance exam. Any input on how difficult the exam was? I am not great at writing papers but I get by. What kind of topics do they have you write your essay on? I also have to thank all of you related to your posts, it has been very informative. Any suggestions would be greatlt appreciated. I have my interview tomorrow evening...
Thanks for any input anyone could provide! :)

Hello, I was wonder if there's anyone who finish the program? I'm interested in going to WGU, but not sure about it since it's all online. Is there a lot of paper assignment? I'm not exactly a strong writer.

their admission pre-assessment test is pretty easy. a basic math, reading competency, and an essay. the essay was just basically on something you overcame in life, about 300 - 800 word essay.
I will be starting on May 1st. Is there anyone else with me on that date?
hi coolnurse, i was wondering if you have finished your biochem class yet? I'm starting May 1st, and i have to take this prereq along with college algebra before starting the 7 bsn courses. If you have finished the biochem, how hard was it? I'm just really dreading this course.

I'm not coolnurse, but I just finished biochem and I didn't find it to be too difficult. It was time consuming because you have to build models, draw diagrams etc, but the actual info was pretty basic. Good luck!
Curious- how long does it usually take everyone to finish a single class?
