WGU RN-BSN in 6 months??

Published

Has anybody finished the RN-BSN program at WGU in 6 months or less?

I heard somebody did it in 3 months but was unemployed.

I work full time and have to do 29 units total. I start on October 1st.

Just want to know if anybody who worked full time actually finished it in 6 months or less?

Any input is appreciated :)

Hi SweettartRN,

First of all congrats on completing 12 CUs in 2.5 weeks. I think thats truly awesome. By the way, how many units do u have to complete? And I assume you are working full time. How many hours approximately do u study a week? Any advice would be great :)

I completed the RN-BSN in three months!! I worked full time the entire program. I also am a wife and mother of one! Can be done with dedication!

Hi Lisa1980, congrats on your BSN! :)

How many units did you have to do? and how many hours of studying did you spend per day or week? :)

coolnurse, i had 23 units. spent anywhere from 1-3 hours during weekdays. The bulk of my studing, reading, and writing the papers were on weekends which ranged from 6-8 hours.

Good Luck!

I have 34 units to complete total, and I spend anywhere from 15-20 hours a week. I also have an understanding employer who allows me to bring my laptop in and work on schoolwork when there is downtime.

Hello! I just need to complete the essay portion of the readiness exam and then will find out. I'm pretty sure I will pass this assessment. My advisor said I was a very good candidate.I haven't taken classes such as the algebra or chem bio . I was wondering if it is still doable in one term including pre reqs. If not what about in two terms? I've head nothing but excellent reviews and am so excited to start!

It is still doable in one term, even with a ton of prereqs like I had. However, it's not easy to do and requires a lot of your time. I'd plan on two, then get real happy if you can get through it more quickly! =)
