WGU Prelicensure '22 - '23 Houston Cohort

Hi, my full application with a requirements was submitted last week. I am just waiting to hear back. I applied for the Houston location because they have more start dates than the Woodlands location. I live very close to the Woodlands though. Anyone else has applied and waiting to see if you were admitted?

Same as me, I just submitted my transcript and all other documents, I spoke to my advisor yesterday and she said I might have to do a background check and the new essay, but she didn’t talk about doing hesiA2 since I already submitted my TEAS

She said she will get back to me on that since I’m trying to get in for February

Do I have to specifically tell my counselor what month I want to get into??? She asked me about the location I wanted. Also I think they all ready accepted February cohort but I might be wrong. I hate that they’re making it harder than it’s already. Good luck for all of us ?

Guys I’m so excited, I just got admitted today for the February cohort, I got a call from my adviser, I’m down to answer any questions y’all have

I submitted my application by September 23rd but I completed the requirements 4days ago

I choose houston and San Antonio, but I was admitted into the San Antonio February cohort. Houston was already filled up with student for January and February cohort

So just Incas anyone wanna compare my application to theirs, my TEAS score is 83% with 72 on reading, my GPA is 4.0.

@kay09 Have you contacted your counselor regarding the new program? You might not need ATI TEAS anymore but HESI.

I still can’t get over how the new program is going to be completely different from the current curriculum. It’s going to be 8 terms/ 4 years and classes like nutrition, Chemistry, algebra, etc are needed. I’m still shocked. I need to add my self to other cohorts because having only Houston cohort as my choice is starting to look like a mistake. Anyways I need to calm my self down LOL cuz my anxiety is at its highest right now ?

Yes you can call right now. They close at 8pm for M to F.
