I finally got accepted to start WGU prelicensure nursing program Dec 1 2016. So excited! I have literally been waiting a year to get my pre reqs and for Texas board of Nursing to approve the program.
I will do my best to track my progress. Best of luck to any others in the DFW cohort for starting 2016/2017
Hi! So I have a few questions!!I have applied and have completed all prerequisites with the exception of Microbiology which I am due to take this summer. How hard is it to get into the program? What is the deadline to have prerequisites completed to be enrolled? I am in Texas btw and have just graduated with a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech and was hoping WGU would work for me! Any advice is accepted!
Congrats on almost finishing your pre-reqs! When enrolling I had an 81% on my TEAS V test and made B's in science pre-reqs. . When I applied I was assigned an enrollment counselor who pretty much answered all my questions about deadlines.
This is good information: https://www.wgu.edu/wgu/prog_guide/BS_NUR_prelicensure.pdf

Which city are you going to be applying in and for what start date? I'm going to apply for the Houston, Sept start...well depending on how I do on the teas that is.
Was it difficult not having your pre-reqs completed before starting? I currently will be taking Chemistry this summer and Anatomy and Physiology with labs in the Fall. Id like to apply ASAP, would i be able to apply now, or would i have to wait until those pre-reqs are completed? Thanks in advance, your so helpful in sharing, God Bless.

All of these courses need to be completed before you apply to WGU.
(Except Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Applied Healthcare Statistics)
