Hello I wanted to reach out and see who else is anxiously waiting for their October 1st Cedars Sinai Cohort decision. It has only been a few weeks and the uncertainty is driving me crazy . My enrollment counselor stated it could take as early as 30-45 days to hear back from WGU. For those who have been admitted in the past, is that time frame too good to be true or does it really take up to two months to hear back from the Nursing Committee? Good luck to everyone that applied!!

Hi Soc,
I know the feeling. The waiting is excruciating! I'm in the October, 2014 Cedars cohort. I submitted my file in February and my counselor told me we might not hear anything the middle of September. UGH. But she called me on August 7th with the good news, which was a huge surprise. Hopefully this will happen for you as well. Only 4 short weeks! Best of luck to you!
Hello SoonerBredExpat,
I guess I shouldn't complain, since you had to wait 6 months!! I am really hoping I get in, I do not have any clinical experience and I only scored an 86 on the TEAS. Staying positive and crossing my fingers and toes.
I would love to hear more about your experience during the Skills portion of the clinicals, I can only imagine how much one needs to learn in one weekend.
Crossing my fingers for you as well!
The skills labs are awesome and really a lot of fun if you have a good cohort. Our instructors are great and truly inspire us. There is usually plenty of time to practice in lab. What I find challenging is preparing for the lab assessments on the final lab date. It takes a lot of practice, over and over. We are given a list of maybe 6 or 8 skills to prepare for, and will be tested on 3 to 5. But we usually know which ones they will test on. So far we've had the fundamentals skills lab and CASAL I and all of us have passed. Actually performing the skills on patients is so much different!

Hi Soc, I too am waiting to hear from WGU about the October 2015 cohorts. The suspense is killing me. It seems like with all the schools I apply to its always like ' hurry up and wait.' So now we wait. Best of luck to you and remember, each day that paases brings u closer to your goal.
Hello upallnite,
That is very true, each passing day does bring us closer to our goal. Since WGU is my only option, it makes the anticipation worse. I don't think it would be so bad if I had other options. Unfortunately, I have to work full time M-F 9-5 and there are no other schools that will allow me to work those hours and complete my BSN at the same time.
Good luck to you, upallnite, I hope you hear from all the schools you applied to soon!
For those waiting a response for the Cedar Sinai Cohort, I heard we should be hearing if we were accepted or not sometime this week.
Good luck to all who applied!!
Fingers Crossed.

The list is posted! I got notified that I am "accepted, but #1 waitlisted". Ahh... I was told that I will need to prep as if I'm starting in Oct, but might start in Feb OC if no one drops and everyone accepts their acceptance. Has anyone been in this position? Am I really in the next cohort, for sure? I really wanted LA, but I'll take OC!
I just found out this morning as well and I got accepted!! Congratulations on being #1 on the wait list. Hopefully you will get in. I am so excited to start in Oct.
Congratulations, Soc, on your acceptance!! Hopefully 1 of the other 11 can't make it, so I can start in Oct!! :) (fingers crossed!!)
