Good day:
Does WGU GPA scale operate on a 0 to 4.0 basis? If not, what's the min and the max?
Is WGU nationally accredited?
Has anyone gone the RN to BSN route through WGU, then pursued a masters degree elsewhere? If yes, did you encounter any problems with the WGU BSN credits / degree?
Thank you.

This has been answered numerous times before but here it is again:
WGU has regional accreditation (which is actually higher than national accreditation). The nursing programs just received another 10-year accreditation from the CCNE. Being a competency-based program, you either pass or fail each course. A pass, when converted to a GPA system equals a 3.0. The only time you might have a problem is if you are applying to a very competitive program that requires a 3.5 GPA or higher. I know someone who just got accepted into a CRNA program who has a BSN from WGU. I have a BSN from Indiana State (which holds the same accreditation as WGU) and I never had an issue when applying for MSN programs. ISU does use a GPA system though, so I graduated with a 3.93 GPA. So, again unless you're applying to a very competitive program you should not have any issues. A BSN from WGU holds all the accreditations that a brick-and-mortar has.
Thank you!
