Western University MSN-E 2014

Published

Hi Everyone!

I didn't see a thread started for this application cycle so I wanted to get one going. If there is one already started that I haven't seen feel free to redirect me. I applied for Western University's MSN-E program this fall for a start date of next fall. If anyone else is applying/has any news please share! Good luck to everyone!

Nice job guys! What the first letters of your last names btw if you got early opportunity emails?

Mine is F

@rosegold...when I looked back at previous threads it seems that last name/alphabetical order isn't really a factor in the order that e-mails go out. It does look like they have the other interview dates set already for January so I'm sure e-mails for those will go out shortly after the holidays....hopefully sooner than later! When I e-mailed them they said they usually let people know 2-3 weeks before their interview time. I hope that helps!

good luck everyone!

I am excited to meet everyone at Early Acceptance Day too! Good luck to everyone :-)

For everyone who is going to the early acceptance day...did you receive the itinerary for the day? When I was reading through it, it didn't sound like there was really a formal interview portion. I just want to make sure that I am prepared in case there is, so if anyone else has more info about that let me know. Thanks!

Emu3121... Everything you need to know is included in the itinerary. Remember this event is in lieu of a formal interview. Hope that helps! :nurse:

So does that mean that merely attending this event will grant us admission to the program?

Congrats to all of you receiving early acceptance emails! How exciting :D

My application is currently being reviewed, I received that email early Nov. , but I'm just curious about your stats, if anyone doesn't mind sharing (i.e. gpa ) also did any/all of you have prior hospital experience? Thanks

Hi all, thought I would chime in since I received an early acceptance opportunity invitation a few days ago as well. Looking forward to meeting you all there on the 15th.

Emu3121: There is no formal interview at the early acceptance opportunity day, it sounds like an event for us to get an introduction of the program and for the faculty/staff and current students to get to know who we are. My guess is it's an informal/casual interview?

Cidge3: I have the same question as you. The e-mail mentioned that attending will add points to your application and potentially move you into the direct admit category.

Haron717: My last 90 quarter credit gpa was (3.9). The only hospital experience I had was in CNA2 clinical rotations. I currently have around 500 hours of volunteer experience in a primary care setting with an under served community + a couple years worth of CNA experience. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

If someone got invited for an interview and a lot of early acceptances did not attend or confirmed their attendance to Western, is there any chance that people who got invited for the interview becomes an early acceptance? Just a curiosity...

Hi guys! Im new to this forum and I also got a Early Acceptance Opportunity Day invite to Western MSN-EL. Can't wait to meet you all and I also am wondering what that day will entail!

Does anyone (current and potential students) have any additional insight not mentioned on how this affects our admission decision?
