Western University MSN-E Application Time!

Well, I thought this day would never come, but the application period for Western U's MSN-E program starts a week from today!

I'm beyond nervous, as I've been working on this career change for over three years now. Every time I write a little of my personal statement I get a little shaky. This is so unlike me too, I'm usually cool as a cucumber.

Anyone else here planning to apply for 2012? Are you as nervous as I am?

after a long 2 hours of debating whether or not to have my mail opened for me while Isit here at work....LOL...got an alternate spot...so we'll see what happens...

Huge congrats to those accepted - well deserved! It would be great to meet you guys in August. I guess I'll be waiting some more 'til who knows when...

I reread some of the posts from the very beginning and I know why many of you were accepted. Though I still haven't heard anything, I am happy for you guys! I agree with melman23.. you guys totally deserve your spot. For those of us who weren't so lucky.. I'm sure we'll be great nurses too.. maybe we're just meant to take a different route. Either way I'm going to be a nurse practitioner sooner or later.

We will all be great nurses...some day - I have faith in that. If you have the drive to do it, you will do it! So don't give up! I love your attitude CINDY!

And if I don't get a spot, I'll reapply and keep reapplying until I do...hopefully sooner than later 'cuz i'm not getting any YOUNGER here! ;)

I'm sorry we couldn't all get the news we were hoping for. But I've heard that the great thing about Western is that the counselors are more than happy to discuss the different aspects of the applications for those who didn't get in on their first try and will highlight what sort of things admissions would like to see in your second time applying. I think my letter of intent helped a lot because I had a very clear picture of what I could bring to nursing, the school, and my cohort as well as what I plan to do with my degree once I graduate. Best of luck and definitely keep trying!

I received my acceptance letter via email yesterday for the fall 2012 MSN-E program! I wish I had joined this forum when I interviewed at WesternU. I am looking forward to meeting all of you in August! Does anyone know the link for the facebook group page? Thank you for your help!
