Western University MSN-E 2015 Applicants

Published

Hi all,

I'm new to allnurses and haven't seen a thread on Western yet for 2015. Just wanted to start it to see who else is applying so we can all give each other moral support!

I saw that every year the application deadline is postponed? Do you think it will be happening this year as well?

I think you have plenty of time still. There are 6 interview dates and they only e-mailed folks about 2 of them so far.

i'm just curious

Yeah I'm sure they would still send you a letter if you don't get it just to confirm. I doubt they wouldn't just leave you hanging.

Congrats everyone for the interview letters.

Hello :roflmao: I have interview on Jan 26th!!!!, received email yesturday! soooo thrilled!!!!

And very very nervous!!!!!

But gotta study now for my Micro final tomorrow!

I just wonder how interview will be like, any idea anyone?

It would be wonderful if anyone give us little info. will be very very helpful.

Thanks so much!

Happy holidays and goooood luck to all of you~~~~

@GuiltyLove will do! and congratulations everyone. ??

Congrats everyone! I will be interviewing in January as well :)

I was wondering which track of the MSN portion you guys are interested in at Western?

Pretty sure I chose FNP

(chose peds for other schools though)

Things are definitely moving along! Now the waiting game starts  I think I've been refreshing my email every 10 minutes since yesterday.

Back when I applied the interview format was 3 parts, tour of campus, written, and oral interviews.

Tour of campus: pretty self explanatory they show you the campus and the sim-lab, sometimes they go through when current students are in the lab practicing skills.

Written part: Candidates write an essay about a topic or two, not sure about the length or the topics.

Oral interview: Two professor asking questions not sure how many maybe like 10 or so. I think they are limited to 20 minutes.

I couldn't tell you what the questions are or the topics because, I didn't do the typical interview process for WesternU. But google nursing interview questions that should help you prepare for the types of questions that could be asked.

Good luck to you all. Hopefully this was helpful.

That's really... detailed. I'm glad I don't have to do that!
