Western University MSN-E 2015 Applicants

Hi all,

I'm new to allnurses and haven't seen a thread on Western yet for 2015. Just wanted to start it to see who else is applying so we can all give each other moral support!

I saw that every year the application deadline is postponed? Do you think it will be happening this year as well?

I don't think univ would have sent all the acceptance yet. I was just congratulating the ones you got the acceptance.

Omg for a sec, I thought all the acceptance from the interviews got accepted. I'm assuming acceptance letters would be sent out this week as it has been in previous years. 2 weeks after the last interviews. Nervous í ½í¸±

I am also waiting for a response as well and I am on edge !! Its killing me! Hopefully we will find out this week and GOOD LUCK!! :)

Hey everyone! Anyone interview in January and still haven't heard back? That is kind of where I am right now. I am assuming that if people from the late February interviews have already heard back its safe to say maybe I and others from January may not be hearing any good news? Don't mean to be pessimistic but just trying to not hold on to hope since we are heading into the end of the second week of March. Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

^ i haven't! I don't think any one who did interviews got a status update. Only those who went to Early acceptance days did.

thanks snailszy! I am curious if the people selected for the early acceptance days play into the 50 student size for this cohort. I desperately want to get into this cohort! I am so ready to meet great new people and work together to change lives! The anticipation is getting the better of me!! I hope we hear back soon.

I believe they do. I'm sure we will hear by the end of March!

That's my main worry too that the EOAD gets played into the cohort size, because chances look really slim if that's the case :( I'm really hoping to get an answer soon

The final EAOD has heard back so I would assume it's onto the people who interviewed, good luck to you all!

Hey guys! I know everyone is on the edge of their seat waiting to hear back right now. I am in the current cohort and although we have no idea when final decisions are made, I can tell you that the Board of Registered Nursing is making a visit this week beginning tomorrow. They are responsible for making sure all of the nursing programs in CA are meeting state regulations. I think they make their rounds every 5-10 years. The entire College of Graduate Nursing has been working really hard to get everything in line for the visit and it seems to be the number one priorty right now. Even we are switching around classes and clinicals right now to make accomodations. After Saturday the BRN will be done with their visit and it will be business as usual. The point is, you guys should sit tight for the week until after they finish up with the BRN. I know it doesn't help the worrying too much but at least you can maybe relax a little for the rest of this week! Hopefully they make final decisions soon! Good luck everyone!
