I just got accepted into the FNP MSN-E program at Western University of Health Sciences. Has anyone gone through this program? If so, could you please share what you liked and disliked about the program. Any feedback would be helpful.
Thank you!

I'm currently a first semester student and we dont start working full time untill next year. I tend to study a couple of hours everyday, sometimes this includes weekends. But they do stress the importance of having a pesonal life so it is important to take some days off to relax. I dont know how many people they accept versus direct entry students, this is a good question to ask the school. I know when i applied for the direct entry they interviewed 100 and accepted 50. Our class consist of 48 students.
It really depends if your application is complete. I had some paperwork missing so I was notified very close to the interview date. But keep in mind that our application was due Dec 1st, which could have made a difference. But Im assuming after the holidays because the nursing dept will be closing. Anyways, if you do get an interview make the best of it because if you made it that far then they are seriously considering you. Be sincere and express your reasons for pursuing nursing and why Western U.
When I went to an information session about a month ago, they said that interview notifications would be sent out before they closed for christmas break.
The interviews are already scheduled for the end of Jan, I want to say Jan 28 and Jan 29th. I have the exact dates written down at home.
Then they would notify us sometime in Feb if we are accepted or not.
Did you get anything in the mail saying they received your application? They haven't cashed the check I sent them for the application fee.
Hello!
I am new to this website and this is my first post so I hope it works...
I have applied to WesternU and received an update on my application. After returning from a vacation yesterday I found an e-mail saying that I was accepted without needing an interview. Has anyone else received this e-mail?
Thanks!

Can you tell me if you are already a RN?

I went to an information session for the direct entry and she said they receive about 300 applications for about 60 spots. They interview about 100 and then choose from that 100.
They also look at the overall applicant and not just your GPA, which is good.
