Any of y'all ever tried WGU. I am considering it for Rn to BSN. Just wondering

No. You have discussion boards but they aren't utilized very much and it's not required.

Do you have to post to discussion boards twice a week?
I've been enrolled in WGU's RN-to-BSN program since May 2014 and have never posted to any discussion boards. The program doesn't require them, thank goodness!

Not sure if you started the WGU program yet, but CSU San Marcos has an online program and it's a good alternative to WGU that I have found. Applications are being accepted and you can get the fee waived. I think I'll be pursuing this rather than WGU because of the CSU status and that clinicals or being employed is not a requirement. They focus on group projects more than paper writing from what I understand.

Group projects are the bane of my existence. That's one thing I LOVE about WGU - everything is completely independent. There is no reliance on other students for your work or your grade.

Egads yes, group projects make me run screaming. I have to do one for my MBA and from what I hear it's a beast. At least it's at the end of the program. I doubt I would have gotten a BSN at all in a program that was all group projects. :p
