Hey everyone! I wanted to start this in case anyone else is planning on applying to WCU's ABSN program! I would love to connect with anyone that is going through the application process.

Hi @Justpeachy, did you pay your deposit and submit your immunization documents? After you do that, you can log into MyWCU and look at your student profile. It will show you contact info for the advisor, and she will get you registered and give you the alt pin!

The first class starts May 17. I’m excited. Really wish I knew more about the fall schedule. I wonder if fall classes will be in person or online. Anyone heard?

Hi, I emailed the director of the program to see if they would make a facebook page for all of us to be able to connect, so hopefully that will happen soon! They said students usually connect on blackboard.

anybody creeping this thread who applied for the fall 2022 cohort? I am dying in anticipation and waiting to hear about an interview. would love to meet some of y'all or hear from those who got into the 2021 cohort how the ABSN program is going for them/anything you're willing to share!

Hi everyone, current student here. The program has been great so far; our cohort is tight and we all work together. We've been getting a lot of hands-on experience in clinicals and labs, which is personally way more helpful than just learning about things in the classroom. IDK how Carolina's ABSN program is, but I did my first degree at Carolina, and I can say that personally I find the smaller environment much more conducive to my learning. There are high expectations of you, but all the faculty and your classmates are there to help you succeed; it's very much a collaborative environment. It's intense, but I imagine that's the case with any ABSN program. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, y'all!
