Westchester Community College Nursing Teas 2017 Fall Semester

Published

Anyone taking the Teas for WCC nursing program for the Fall Semester 2017?

I agree. I read on some forums that the actual test was easier than the practice tests, but that was totally not the case. Hope to hear some positive news! :dead:

I agree! I'm trying to be positive too but it's so hard. I have heard rumors of people that have made it with a 70 into the program. However, I have heard people with 70-75 not make it in at all.

I just took the test this morning and am super excited to say I got a 90.7! I bought and have been using the 2 practice tests available from ATI online. It was super expensive but it was so worth it. As for the difficulty, it must depend on the luck of the draw for the questions you get as I thought the real test was significantly easier than the practice exams, especially the science section. I was getting consistent low 80's each time I took the practices. Good luck to everybody!

That's awesome good luck! You are definitely getting in with that score. Saturday's test reading section was hard. I was scoring 90's on the practice exams. So I guess I wasn't very lucky on Saturday.

I definitely don't have a chance of getting in for the fall. I somehow did better on the practice exams than on the actual tests :/

I scored a 74 and honestly it just sucks because if I had a 75 at least I wouldn't have had to wait a full year to try again.

The proctor said if you scored a 74 you don't have to wait a full year. I scored a 73 so I'm def not getting in either and I def have to wait a full year. Don't get discouraged, I mean there's a possibility. There's people in the nursing program that have scored low 70's it really just depends on how many people scored 90's or 80's.

Will you be placed on remediation ? I'm on remediation as well.

No, the only thing WCC does is make you wait a year to retest if you scored lower than a 75. If you scored 75 above and didn't make it in,you can take the test again for the following semester.

I'm a 4.0 student for 3 consecutive semesters, have A's in all my sciences and more. I hate that this test gets to determine my potential!

Thank you, I really hope you're right because today the proctor made it sound as if you had to pretty much beg the nursing department to take it again this fall if you scored a 74.

so will you have to re apply again next year or is your spot guaranteed until you re take the exam?

Yes, you have to reapply again to the program. It sucks.
